Vintage WITTNAUER AUTOMATIC Cal. 11 SR, 17 Jewels, Rare Bow Tie Lugs, Ca. 1960s, Working.
The movement is nice, clean and working. Stamped on the movement is: Wittnauer Watch Co Inc, 17 Jewels, 11 SR.
The asymmetrical stainless steel case with the rare bow tie lugs is in excellent condition and measures 36.35mm from lug to lug and 31mm not including the crown. The case measurements are approximate.
Inside caseback is stamped: Wittnauer Watch Co Inc, Swiss, Stainless Steel, 9004 11 SR and serial number # 6467035.
Outside caseback is stamped: Use All Proof 1100 Wrench.
The brushed silver dial, raised gold hour markers, hands and all lettering are in very good condition.
The crystal is NOS.
The black crock embossed leather band is NOS and complements the watch nicely.
Included and free of charge is the vintage Speidel Stainless Steel expansion band the watch came on which is in very good condition without any stretch.
This is a vintage watch without service records. I cannot guarantee the accuracy, longevity or waterproofing and should be serviced by a competent watchmaker. Please review all the pictures as they are part of the description, ask if you have any questions and offer accordingly.
