Authentic vintage Soviet-era amber insect brooch, famously designed and manufactured at the Kaliningrad Amber Combine in the 1970\'s. This iconic mid-century design features two beautifully polished, natural Baltic amber cabochons with gorgeous rich honey transparency and subtle organic internal inclusions.The underside features the classic factory hallmark stamp \"1ЯК\" near the pin hinge.
Amber: Excellent vintage condition. High clarity, warm shine, and no deep cracks or chips to the stone bodies.
Metal Frame: The frame is heavily gold-gilted over a brass/tombac base metal. Please note that there is visible vintage patina, surface oxidation, and flaking/peeling to the gold plating near the pin mechanism and along the inside frame borders (visible in macro photos). This gives the piece an authentic, historical weathered look.
Mechanism: The long, curved C-clasp pin on the back functions perfectly and holds securely.
