A vintage wooden \'pull along\' toy steam train.
My research indicates that the logo on the front of the \'boiler\' is for a company by the name of Boy Toys of Melbourne, Australia. \"Strength in the toy is joy to the boy\" is the motto. The company made such toys in the period before WW2 which suggests a probable manufacture date of the 1930s.
Although made mainly from painted wood, the rear wheels are cast metal. Condition is \'play worn\' with obvious signs of age and use as reflected in the images provided. There may have been some over-painting in a few places in its past.
Another nice piece of social and commercial history as well as a nostalgic decorative item.
