A lovely original 1976 Timex Moire Sprite Calendar, featuring the distinctive factory Moire (woodgrain) dial that gives the watch its unique character. These textured dials stand out from the standard Timex models of the period and look fantastic in different lighting.The watch is powered by its original Timex M25 manual wind movement, made in Great Britain at the Timex Dundee factory. It winds smoothly, sets correctly and is in good working order.The original dark grey/blue Moire dial is in very nice condition with clean applied hour markers, matching original hands and a framed date window at 3 o'clock. The acrylic crystal remains clear while the stainless steel case shows light honest wear consistent with its 50-year age.It comes fitted with a blue NATO strap which suits the watch perfectly and is ready to wear.As with any vintage mechanical watch of this age, it has not been tested for long-term accuracy or power reserve, and no recent service history is known.A very attractive 1970s Timex with one of the brand's most distinctive original dial designs.
