Beautiful vintage Takahashi San Francisco stoneware bud vase, made in Japan and retaining its original Takahashi foil label on the bottom.The vase has a classic rounded bottle shape with a narrow neck and a rich dark brown/black glaze with subtle metallic and speckled variations. Its simple sculptural form works especially well with Mid-Century Modern, Japandi, wabi-sabi, boho, or organic modern décor.The original bottom label reads “Made in Japan – Takahashi – San Francisco 94103.” Takahashi imported a variety of Japanese ceramics and decorative pieces, and surviving examples with their original labels are particularly nice for collectors. Similar labeled Takahashi stoneware vases are identified as Japanese-made pieces in current listings.
