Description
Vintage TEAC Model 2 Audio Mixer, made in Japan. Classic early TEAC/TASCAM analog mixer with six input channels, four-bus routing, individual channel pan controls, mic/line inputs, high- and low-cut filters, cue outputs, access send/receive connections and the original wood side panels.
This example is very clean cosmetically for its age. The faceplate and lettering present extremely well, the rear connection panel is clean, the faders move, and the unit powers on with the original red power indicator illuminated.
Serial No. 15187.
Please note the cosmetic/control details visible in the photographs: two small switch caps are missing, one pan knob is non-original/mismatched, and two fader caps appear to be replacements/non-original. Otherwise, the mixer is unusually complete and clean.
I have not fully audio-tested every input, output, switch, bus or function, so it is being sold as powers on / otherwise untested. Because this is approximately 50-year-old vintage analog equipment, servicing or cleaning may be required before professional use.
These early Model 2 mixers are increasingly interesting both as complete vintage analog mixers and for their discrete TEAC-era circuitry, routing and coloration.
