Beautiful Vintage Mid-Century Modern Studio Art Pottery Large Bowl. This piece is a striking, substantial 11-inch hand-thrown studio pottery serving bowl. It beautifully captures the rustic elegance of the mid-century Mingei (folk art) movement, showcasing a masterfully executed three-section split glaze.
Design Details: Features a warm, earthy palette split into a deep unglazed/slip-washed brown section, a highly speckled dark iron-rich center stripe, and an organic oatmeal/cream field. The interior and exterior surfaces are adorned with loose, abstract hand-painted brushwork reminiscent of Japanese calligraphy accents.

Signature & Base: The bottom features a clear, hand-painted iron-oxide or manganese artist's monogram signature on the raw clay foot rim. The stylized script character reads similarly to "Alba" or "Allan" paired with a secondary studio stamp/mark (can also be read as a stylized "W" monogram depending on orientation). So nifty!
