This vintage Tropical Escape beach towel is made from 100% cotton terry cloth and was manufactured in Brazil, most likely in the 1990s. Despite the brand's tropical palm tree logo on the woven label, the towel itself features a southwestern/Aztec-inspired geometric design, with stepped diamond, chevron, and stacked motifs running in bands of tan, dusty blue, and rust across the body of the towel, bordered by a light blue and navy edge stripe. The pattern reads very much like a woven Southwestern textile or blanket design translated onto terry cloth, giving it a strong tribal/aztec look that stands apart from typical novelty beach towel prints of the era.
