Up for sale is this fully restored Vintage Sony SLV-900HF High End HiFi VHS Recorder. This unit is in excellent cosmetic condition and includes the original packaging, Remote, and box as well! Cosmetically, it only has minor scratches and wear consistent with normal use. The rubber coating on the jog wheel has gotten the least bit sticky with age.
It plays beautifully just as it did when it was new. No intermittent issues, no flaky rewind/playback, and absolutely no eating of tapes. Just perfect, reliable, VHS magic!
I have fully restored this unit to ensure it functions just as it did when it was new... here\'s a list of everything I did:
- Replaced old and cracked blue gear with brand new OEM quality part.
- Replaced any bad leaky capacitors on power supply with new Rubicon/Panasonic parts.
- Cleaned off old grease from around tape transport & tape guides and added fresh lubricants.
- Cleaned unit inside and out to ensure a fresh open box condition is preserved.
- Fully inspected all functions and tested unit for many hours to ensure functionality.
This VCR is a high-end deck from the only company who really made great decks, SONY. It will perform perfectly for archiving old home movies, playing back VHS Music content, or just enjoying old VHS movie favorites! I have put a ton of work into this one, and it is ready for the next decade of use!
Any lines or strange patterns in the test photos or video is my camera interfering with the LCD TV I am using to test and are not from the VCR itself. the VCR\'s picture is clean (for VHS standards) with no visible lines.
Listing is for the Sony VCR Recorder, Original box, Remote, and packaging as they all appear in the first photo. Any other equipment or TVs shown in listing are not included and are only used for testing or staging.
NOTE: Please make sure you have studied the video output connections on this unit and have the correct cables and TV to use this VCR. Returns will not be provided for buyer not having the right equipment/environment to use the VCR.
