Shimano\'s \'Dura Ace\' bar end shifters, no ratchets or clutches, a spring loaded lever that counter-balances the spring in the derailleur. These were lightly used, still have the snap in them, friction only, there is a blog online titled \'The Retrogrouch\' where he detailed exactly how these work and the correct setup.
