VINTAGE / MID CENTURY MODERN SIGNED DEMARIO 6 STRAND PURPLE-AMYTHYST COLORED and SILVER PIPE BEAD BIB NECKLACE and EARRINGS from the FIFTIES. DeMARIO is known for HANDMADE, COMPLEX,MULTI LAYERED JEWELRY done in the 1950's and 60's in NEW YORK. What makes this SET RARE are the MATCHING EARRINGS. DESIGNED and CONSTRUCTED with PURPLE CRYSTAL and SMOOTH MOONGLOW BEADS that are HANDSTRUNG with SILVER PIPE BEADS. The NECKLACE is 17" long with the EARRINGS being 2" high by 1 1/8" wide. Each piece is CLEARLY SIGNED. I especially love the CLOSURE with so much ATTENTION to DETAIL. There are AURORA BOREALIS RHINESTONES, a FLOWER HOOK CLOSURE and BEADED DANGLE.
