ABOUT THE WATCHThe reference 1501 is the everyday vintage Rolex. It gives you the Datejust look — automatic Oyster Perpetual movement, date under a cyclops, screw-down crown — in a cleaner, more understated 34mm package, topped with the engine-turned bezel that defined the reference and that Rolex no longer produces.
The silver sunburst dial is the highlight. It\'s bright and even, with black-inlaid applied baton markers, tritium plots aged to a soft cream, and \"T SWISS T\" printed at 6 o\'clock. It sits under a domed acrylic crystal with a cyclops magnifier over the date, which gives the warm, slightly distorted vintage look you do not get from a modern sapphire Rolex. Drilled lugs, screw-down crown, and a steel Oyster bracelet with a crown-signed folding clasp complete it.
At 34mm it\'s a true everyday watch. It slides under a cuff, dresses up, and looks just as right on a strap or with a t-shirt.
CONDITIONExcellent pre-owned vintage condition. The case and bracelet have been professionally cleaned and refinished, so the watch presents brightly and wears far better than most surviving examples of this reference. Case lines are clean and even.

I have not opened the caseback, so I cannot confirm the caliber, the movement serial, or whether any internal parts were replaced during the watch\'s life. Vintage Rolex watches of this era routinely received service parts including hands, crystals, crowns and bracelet components. I cannot confirm that every component is original to this watch.
