Impressive vintage large canid skull believed to be a wolf (Canis lupus). Measures approximately 10” long × 5.5” wide.
This is a real natural bone specimen with beautiful deep honey/amber aging and patina. It has not been bleached or artificially whitened, giving it a much different appearance from newer prepared specimens.
Features large canine teeth, pronounced sagittal crest and heavy mature skull structure. Overall characteristics and size are consistent with a large wolf-type canid.
Identification: Acquired/believed to be a wolf skull; however, I do not have original collection records or documentation confirming species, age or geographic origin. Buyer should review the photographs and measurements when making their own determination.
