Description: Vintage Paul Kitchen Chevy Trucks dealership advertising license plate from Waynesboro, Tennessee. This is a particularly nice piece of Tennessee Chevrolet dealership memorabilia featuring the classic Chevrolet bowtie with “CHEVY TRUCKS” across the center. The plate is embossed aluminum with blue, black and white graphics.
New old stock (NOS) and appears never to have been mounted. There is a slight bend/warp to the aluminum plate, which is fairly common with these lightweight dealership advertising plates. Please review all photos for exact condition.
Paul Kitchen has an interesting connection to the collector-car business. Period legal records describe a Tennessee automotive businessman named Paul Kitchen as a nationally recognized specialist in the wholesale market for high-end and specialty automobiles, particularly Corvettes, and state that he helped found and later judged the Bloomington Gold Corvette event. A separate history of a documented 1969 Corvette L88 also identifies Paul Kitchen as a Corvette authority in Tennessee during the late 1970s.The Paul Kitchen dealership represented on this Waynesboro plate is no longer in business. A great addition to a collection of Tennessee automobile dealership memorabilia, Chevrolet advertising, Chevy truck memorabilia, dealer plates, or vintage automotive advertising.
Condition: New old stock. Aluminum construction. Slight bend/warp as shown, common with this style of lightweight dealer plate. Some minor storage wear may be present. Please examine photos closely as they are part of the description.
