This lovely Paragon teacup and matching saucer is in the highly sought after Orchard Fruits motif, which was produced in a variety of colors. The exterior of the cup and the saucer are both a most dramatic black edged in gold, while the interior superimposes a group of ripe, orchard fruits against an iridescent, opalescent backdrop. The teacup is footed, and has an ornate handle.
The saucer measures 5 3/8 inches across. The teacup stands 2 1/8 inches tall, with a diameter of 3 7/8 inches, width of 4 3/4 inches including the handle, and a \"foot\" diameter of 1 7/8 inches. They are both free of chips, cracks or crazing, although there are a couple of tiny nicks in the glossy black of the saucer which can be seen in the photos above.
