Original 1978’ Timex manual wind Chrome mens wrist watch. Watch is in extremely nice overall vintage condition, it’s almost as if was not worn and just stored away the last 48 years and about as nice as they get. That said there are of course some very minuscule marks/scrapes etc from storage and handling but as you can see in the close up pics its condition is well above average.
The watch winds and runs very well, the time accuracy depends on the day but overall seems pretty good.
PLEASE NOTE- Timex watches always ran within (30 seconds - 2 minutes) within a days time even when new. These vintage original Timex watches were not built to be precision Swiss movements competing with Rolex/Omega, but rather an extremely reliable durable watch you could go out to dinner in and come home and chop wood later that night if needed without worry, they were designed to be within reason for time keeping and reasonably affordable for the average working man as well as practically indestructible essentially for all day everyday use.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE- If you do need precision perfect time keeping you will most certainly want a new quartz watch, not a vintage mechanical movement by any means.
The band is adjustable with a latch type snap clip that simply has teeth that clips within the band creases and snaps in place with moderate pressure locking it in place at your desired position.
