Offered here is a vintage Zuni fetish of a mountain lion carved from dense, heavy brown to reddish-brown specimen of Nutria travertine, paired with a small shell arrowhead offering. With strong stylistic commonalities shared with documented work by Leo Poblano (d. 1959), and likely dating to the period he was active, I believe this may be a piece by the late master carver.
