This reel would be in Mint Condition except for a small paint chip on the heel of the reel body. It is otherwise in excellent condition along with the box. I have thrown in a spare large capacity spool with attached blue arbor. This package is complete with all original paperwork.
The serial number on the reel foot is H033102 which indicates it was manufactured in February of 1978. This is the last version of the 308 released by Garcia before their bankruptcy in 1978. It is also the last 308 manufactured in France, which would be replaced by the 308A, then resurrected again later only to be made in Taiwan.
The box is in excellent condition, and the yellow window box insert indicates that it was sold to the Canadian and European markets.
This reel was only sold for only one year, or less.
