This is a beautiful tightly woven, medium coil (4 to an inch) palm frond around grass core basket. I believe the color is not dye but the natural frond colors but that\'s just a guess from observation. This is a very well made basket by a master weaver not a floppy tourist basket. It has a wonderful herringbone edge. It could be Pakistani as many of the techniques are used in that region as well but my guess is North African. Large but not huge it displays beautifully.
