Vintage Mid-Century Modern freeform decorative bowl with a dramatic elongated crescent / boomerang shape and raised molded foot.
Made of lightweight fiberglass or fiber-reinforced resin rather than ceramic or pottery. The material has visible embedded fibers throughout, particularly noticeable on the underside and in close-up. Finished in a soft aqua/sea foam green with mottled brown and earthy accents that give it a wonderfully organic, studio-pottery-inspired appearance.
The long, low profile and asymmetrical sculptural form are classic Mid-Century Modern design, with a great atomic-era look. Beautiful as a console bowl, centerpiece, catchall, or simply displayed as a decorative object.
