Striking vintage Mid-Century Modern wooden coat tree featuring an unusual double atomic helix / DNA-inspired design. This tall sculptural piece stands approximately 79” high and is constructed of light-toned wood, believed to be maple.
The central column is surrounded by numerous graduated wooden pegs with rounded ball ends, creating the distinctive spiral/atomic appearance. The pegs provide plenty of space for coats, hats, scarves, handbags, or accessories while making the piece just as appealing as a piece of MCM sculpture.
Features a beautiful sculpted four-leg arched wooden base and ball finial at the top. The organic lines, natural wood finish and atomic-era styling make this a fantastic statement piece for a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern, Danish Modern or eclectic interior.
