Vintage MCM 1950 Arvin Radio 440-T Now Bluetooth Metallic Bronze COOL For Sale

This is a 1950 metal case Arvin radio model 440-T made in Indiana. This was one of the smallest AM radios in 1950. Love the large round speaker area and big dial. Typical of the early mid century radios of the time. There are numerous scratches and paint loss but no cracks or breaks on the red metal painted case. All of the non working parts were removed. Primed & painted the sanded case a beautiful medium bronze metallic.Please look at the pics.Cleaned & reused the large round dial, not perfect but original. On the inside, I installed a new Bluetooth digital stereo hi-fi audio amplifier with 50 watts in addition to a 3.5\" Infinity Reference multi range speaker. Yes this classic is now a real boom box. Reused the original tan knob and dial. Added a piece of NOS cool speaker cloth. This thing sounds great. Installed the on/off/volume switch with the knob. All of the electronics are hard wired and secured to the inner supports insure a long life.This is one of a kind Bluetooth speaker that is MCM cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. There is a new electrical plug also. The 1950 Arvin converted to Bluetooth speaker measures a very small 8\" x 5.5\" x 4\". Will look good, sound great and fit anywhere. Thanks for looking. ED
