Lot of 14 Little Golden Books featuring a varied assortment of vintage and later titles, including the collectible Hiram’s Red Shirt.
This is the exact 14-book lot pictured. The assortment includes titles such as Hiram’s Red Shirt, The Boy With a Drum, One of the Family, What Will I Be? A Wish Book, Ten Items or Less: A Counting Book, The Giant Who Wanted Company, Peanuts: Let’s Fly a Kite, Charlie Brown!, Grandma and Grandpa Smith, Let’s Go, Trucks!, and the other books shown in the listing photos.
Of particular note is Hiram’s Red Shirt, the 1981 Western Publishing edition with the C printing line. This copy has two small tears extending upward from the bottom edge of the title/copyright page, as shown clearly in the photos. The remainder of the book generally presents well for its age.
Condition varies from book to book. The photos capture some of the poorer condition books in this lot. Overall, these are used children\'s books with typical age and handling wear. Most of the interior pages remain in good overall condition with colorful illustrations. Wear may include cover and spine rubbing, corner/edge wear, age-related discoloration or spotting, surface marks, old price/store stickers and other signs of previous use.
A few pages throughout the collection have tears or other more noticeable wear. I have photographed the notable flaws I found so buyers can see their extent. Please review all photos closely for the condition of each individual book.
These books are not mint and condition varies considerably with age, but the lot presents nicely overall and contains an interesting assortment of Little Golden Book eras, authors, illustrators and subjects.
