A vintage Kutani ware (九谷焼) sencha tea service — one yokode kyusu (side-handled teapot), five matching sencha cups, and a dedicated pouring cup — hand-painted in the classic aka-e kinrande style: dense red plum blossom (ume) sprays with yellow stamens and gilt branches, set off by cobalt-blue sometsuke geometric leaf borders at the footrims and lid ring. Each piece is base-marked with a hand-painted red Kutani seal (九谷) in seal script.
The original factory box confirms both the format and pattern: labeled 品名 煎茶器 (Sencha-ki, "sencha tea utensils") and 絵柄 梅林 (Bairin, "plum grove") — the same pattern name featured on the porcelain itself.
New old stock — never used, complete in its original box with the factory tissue wrapping still around each piece. The box shows shelf wear (softened corners, minor seam separation) consistent with age, and carries a nice period red-and-black genre illustration of a tea-producing village.
Great for a collector of vintage Kutani ware or Japanese sencha service sets, or as a complete gift-boxed set.
