This large statement vase is richly decorated throughout with gold gilt detailing, colorful floral motifs, raised/moriage-style enamel decoration, and intricate patterned borders.
The main pictorial panel depicts figures in traditional Japanese dress surrounded by flowers, trees, water, and traditional architecture. The reverse features an elaborate floral and paisley-inspired composition in rich red, blue, green, pink, and gold.
The level of decoration continues around the entire vase, making this a particularly striking piece when displayed from different angles.
