Beautiful and highly detailed vintage Japanese Hina Ningyo doll set, featuring 5 traditional figures designed for the middle and lower tiers of a Hinamatsuri Girls’ Day display. - Dolls are about 3 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide.
This collectible set includes the two legendary Zuijin Imperial Ministers/Palace Guards, recognizable by their traditional quivers with arrows carried on their backs. They are accompanied by three male imperial palace attendants in traditional seated and bowing poses.
A wonderful opportunity for collectors of Japanese traditional dolls, vintage Hinamatsuri displays, or anyone looking for authentic period replacement pieces with traditional courtly accessories.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
- 2 Zuijin Imperial Guards / Ministers: Male figures dressed in formal court attire. Their most distinctive feature is the traditional quiver with arrows attached to their backs, representing their role as protectors of the Emperor and Empress. One figure wears a blue/purple robe, while the other wears a vibrant orange robe.
- 3 Palace Attendants (Jicho / Sannin Jogo): Three male figures in traditional seated poses.
- 2 Miniature Banquet Tables (Ozen): Small black-and-red lacquer-style tables with miniature dishes and cups for the traditional offerings.
- 2 Miniature Hishimochi Rice Cakes: Classic diamond-shaped three-color decorations in pink, white, and green, displayed on dark-colored stands.
- 2 Decorative Trees: One cherry blossom (Sakura) tree with pink and white flowers and one mandarin (Tachibana) tree with leaves and fruit, each mounted on a decorative wood-like base.

Vintage Collectible – Very Good Overall Condition
The figures are in very good overall vintage condition. The composition/porcelain faces are clean and well preserved. The fabric clothing retains its beautiful colors and brocade patterns.
The arrows and quivers on the backs of the Zuijin figures remain well positioned and nicely detailed.
