Vintage Japan U-581 German U-Boat Submarine Table Lighter WWII Novelty Metal

Vintage Japanese U-581 submarine tabletop lighter, designed in the form of a German WWII-style U-boat.
This is a substantial and unusual smoking collectible featuring a detailed cast-metal submarine body, conning tower, deck details and an integrated lighter mounted directly into the submarine. The lighter mechanism is marked “JAPAN,” and the display base is marked “U-581.”
U-581 was the designation of an actual German Type VIIC U-boat during WWII, making this an especially interesting display piece for collectors of vintage lighters, nautical memorabilia, submarines and military-themed collectibles.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with surface wear, oxidation/tarnishing, scratches and age-related finish wear as shown in the photographs. Lighter has not been tested and is being sold as a collectible/display piece. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition and completeness.
