This traditional theatrical puppet features a beautifully carved wooden head representing a refined (alus) noble character, complete with an intricate painted headdress and traditional fabric vestments.Condition Details:
This puppet is being sold in vintage, as-found condition. Please carefully review all photos before purchasing.
- Face & Head:Visible cracking and linear paint loss/flaking across the face, cheeks, and nose area. The headdress shows minor paint chips but remains structurally solid.
- Rods & Mechanisms:The central main support rod under the skirt is fully intact and rotates smoothly. However, the thin bamboo control rods for the hands are detached; one bamboo rod has a broken tip where it connects to the hand joint (see close-up photos).
- Textiles:The batik sarong skirt and blouse are completely intact with standard aging, dust, and minor vintage fabric wear.
