Up for sale is a genuine 12” Hermann Teddy Original “Zotty” style long mohair Teddy Bear in excellent condition. Tag dates this Bear was made in Western German Democratic sector of Germany before the Berlin Wall fell; 1960’s to mid- 1970’s. Plush bear fur made from 53% wool, 47% cotton.Bear has internal growler/voice box, original green-rimmed chest tag, made in West Germany white cloth side tag, mohair fur tag. Bear also has original red collar ribbon, and 5-way joint movement.Condition is vintage excellent shape. The shaggy brown-tipped mohair fur is exceptionally clean and full with no major thinning or bald spots. Felt paw pads on hands and feet, mouth lining, and nose are completely intact.A special feature is a fully operational internal tilt-growler mechanism that still sounds clearly when tipped.Item comes from a smoke-free home. This Bear was obtained through a family inheritance of one who collected for over 60 years.
