These are vintage hand-painted Japanese Kutani porcelain 19 piece tea set.
Because each piece was hand-painted (rather than an applied graphic), each individual plate has a slightly different image and colors in their image appearance.
It features a scenic of Mount Fuji, stylized water reeds, bridge landscape, and traditional thatched-roof houses. The edge is finished with elegantgold trimand features built-in handles with heavy gold brushwork.
Made in Japan.
This set dates back to themid-20th century (circa 1950s–1960s).
Logo marked on base;
This red square seal mark represents a generic, stylized script version of the word(Kutani). It was used onvintage Japanese porcelain tablewareduring the mid 20th century.The characters inside the red box are stylized seal script (tensho) versions of 1st symbol (Ku) and 2nd symbol (Tani). Kutani porcelain originates from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, and is famous for vibrant color glazes, intricate scenes, and beautiful gold detailing.

Six Porcelain tea cups with handles, approximately 3 1/2” across x 2” tall.
Eight Porcelain saucers, approximately 5 1/2” across
One Porcelain tea pot with its lid, approximately 6” tall
One Porcelain creamer, approximately 6” across x 4” tall
One Porcelain sugar with its lid, approximately 4” across x 3” tall
No cracks nor any repairs to saucers, creamer, sugar, or lids. The spout edge opening of tea pot has a repair that is visible (see detail photos of this location).
One of the six cups has a chip along it rim (see detailed photo of this location), the other 5 cups have no chips nor cracks. Bottom rims edges have some staining from contact with adjacent surfaces. Hand painted exterior surfaces are in excellent condition. A few outer rim of gold plate edges show minimal wear, but all other gold application appears to be in very good condition (no flaking nor chipping of metal off of porcelain surface).
