Vintage Hand Thrown Studio Pottery Pitcher Blue Iris Flower Signed Artist 8.5\" For Sale

This substantial artisan pitcher has the wonderful characteristics of individually made pottery, including visible throwing lines inside the vessel, a gracefully formed pouring spout, applied handle and hand-painted floral decoration.

The underside is incised/stamped with the maker's mark, as shown in the photographs. The artist has not been positively identified, so this piece is being offered as signed studio pottery rather than attributed to a specific maker.

CONDITION

Very good pre-owned condition with no chips or cracks observed. The end of the spout is a bit rough as shown with closeup picture. There is an area of brown discoloration/staining inside the bottom of the pitcher, shown clearly in the photographs.
