This is a Vintage Griswold No. 9 Large Block Logo Chrome Plated Dutch Oven 1279. This piece has undergone a dramatic glowup in its restoration, and is still a beaut despite some hard years. It has regained a sheen in the chrome, though the chrome has lost its slick, gleaming surface which is still visible around the bail openings. The writings underneath are deeply set, though rust has left the bottom quite splotchy. The cooking surface, while closely resembling the surface of the moon, still cooks as slick as any newly restored cast iron and will season just fine. The bail is sturdy, but you will notice a stick when maneuvering. Lastly, this piece spins and wobbles. This is priced to cook with all flaws considered.
