Vintage pendant light in Mid Century Modern style.
Designed by GEORGE NELSON circa 1952. Cigar Bubble Pendant Lamp. Produced by MODERNICA, Los Angeles late 20th century / early 2000s. Plastic polymer spun onto a high tensile steel wire frame. Brushed nickel-plated steel trim and canopy. Northwire Inc, SJT load bearing cord. All original.
Maker\'s marks: Modernica label.

There is one very small black spot on the side of the shade that I did not attempt to clean. This is not a hole / puncture / dent.
Looking at the top shoulder of the shade you may detect two very small rubs to the surface of the polymer skin directly over two of the vertical wire ribs. See photos. This is not conspicuous -- virtually unnoticeable when the pendant is hung.
Otherwise the shade is in excellent original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations, repairs, touch ups.
No other spots. No other rubs / abrasions. No holes, scuffs, punctures, tears, splits, dents, bends.
No corrosion or oxidation to any of the metal components.
Everything here is generally very clean as found. No stains or discolorations to the shade or cord. No grime. From a non smoking home.
No scuffs, slices, cuts or other damage to the cord.
I have tested the light and it is functional.
