Beautiful long amber bead necklace measuring approximately 28 inches in length and weighing 93.5 grams.
The polished beads graduate from about 12 mm to 20 mm and range in color from golden honey to deeper cognac. Each bead is individually knotted, and the necklace has a sterling silver clasp.
The amber fluoresces green under UV light. (See photo #5)
When viewed with strong backlighting, the beads show numerous internal reflective inclusions and sun-spangle-type features consistent with clarified or heat-treated amber.
The beads are genuine amber, but I have not had the necklace professionally tested for geographic origin, so I am not representing it as Baltic amber.
