Vintage miniature framed reproduction after Utagawa Hiroshige’s celebrated Japanese woodblock composition “Autumn Moon on the Tama River” (Tamagawa no shūgetsu).
The original design dates to circa 1838 and belongs to Hiroshige’s series Eight Views in the Environs of Edo. The scene depicts the Tama River beneath a glowing autumn moon, with figures along the riverbank, boats on the water, and a dramatic weeping willow dominating the foreground.
This smaller-format vintage reproduction retains the Japanese inscriptions, Hiroshige signature, and seals incorporated into the original composition. Presented beneath glass in a substantial dark-stained wood frame with rounded corners.
