Our local jeweler professionally tested the gold portion of this ring as14K gold. During a previous Authenticity Guarantee inspection, \'s authenticator measured the vintage gold at approximately13Kand advised us to describe the gold as beingbetween 13K and 14K. Both findings are being fully disclosed.
The authenticator also determined that thecrown/diamond-setting portion of the ring is platinum. This type of gold-and-platinum construction was used in vintage fine jewelry, with platinum particularly well suited for securely holding diamonds because of its strength and durability.
