each butterfly is a small sculpture: four shaped wings, a segmented body and curved antenna with the area surface of hand, rot silver or rather than a stamped blank. Nicholson worked nature forms in Sterling, butterflies, dragonflies, insects, plants, and sign his pieces either CN or CLN. These are marked Sterling as Mark is on the Silver. Please see photos.
condition is preowned excellent, not polished up, resale. The faces have a soft tarnish in the recesses. no missing wings, no broken antenna. details are in the photos. Original patina is left as found.
