Charming vintage woven sewing basket, made in the People’s Republic of China and likely dating to the 1960s–1970s.
Beautifully constructed from natural woven straw/raffia with intricate navy and warm orange decorative cordwork, a floral embellished lid, and a wrapped carrying handle.
Open the hinged lid to reveal a wonderfully vivid red fabric interior, complete with decorative sewing notions attached inside the lid, including a small pincushion.
The original bilingual PRC “Made in the People’s Republic of China” label remains intact.
