Beautiful vintage Chinese porcelain demitasse set comprising 4 cups and 2 matching saucers.
The pieces are richly decorated in a traditional Famille Rose / Canton-style design, featuring Chinese figures, floral motifs, birds, scrolling borders and gilt highlights in pink, green, turquoise, iron-red and gold tones.
Each piece bears a four-character iron-red Qianlong Nian Zhi (乾隆年製) mark to the base. This is considered a Qianlong-style / apocryphal reign mark and the set is believed to date from the 20th century rather than the original Qianlong period.
