Up for sale is an exceptional piece of wearable Southwestern art history, coming directly from my grandfather's private estate collection.This genuine vintage single-strand necklace features a beautiful assortment of hand-carved multi-stone animal fetishes delicately spaced along a strand of fine, dark organic heishi beads.Artist Attribution & Hallmarks: The necklace features a stunning sterling silver cross pendant flanked by two large, beautiful turquoise accent beads. The reverse side of the cross is crisply stamped "925" for sterling purity alongside the signature stamped roadrunner hallmark, identifying this as a verified handcrafted work by celebrated Navajo artisan Calbert Palabaza.Condition Details:This necklace is an authentic vintage estate piece and shows minor signs of age and wear. Specifically, one hand-carved stone animal fetish is missing along the strand, and one fetish has a small broken tail (both flaws are clearly visible and highlighted in the close-up listing photos). The rest of the strand, heishi beads, sterling silver end cones, and the focal sterling cross are fully intact and structurally sound.
