Vintage Boy Scouts of America garrison (overseas) cap in olive drab wool twill with red piping along both edges of the fold-up curtain. The left front carries the classic diamond-shaped BSA cap emblem: a gold fleur-de-lis with a brown eagle and red, white, and blue shield, two stars, and red \"B S A\" letters on a tan background with a brown chain-stitched border.
The cap is fully lined in a golden tan rayon-type twill with a center crown seam and top-stitched edges. The wool retains good color and a crisp fold. This style of wool garrison cap and diamond emblem was a standard part of the Boy Scout uniform in the mid-20th century, making it a nice piece for scouting collectors, uniform displays, or vintage Americana collections.

Condition:Good vintage pre-owned condition, with age and wear consistent with use:- The diamond BSA emblem is partially detached at its top corner, with loose stitching threads at that point. The rest of the patch remains sewn down.- A small section of the red piping at the front crossover is worn and faded to a pale tone.- The lining is wrinkled and shows light soiling and darkening, mostly along the front and edges.- There are a few small light flecks on the wool surface.- No moth holes or tears were observed.
