Vintage Boeing Next-Generation 737 commemorative football covered with numerous silver-marker signatures.
The ball features Boeing NFL Pro branding and a large original-style “Next-Generation 737” identification panel. Based on the Boeing 737NG program branding and the names present, this piece appears to date from approximately the mid-to-late 1990s, likely around 1997.
Visible signatures include names that read as:
Dick Albrecht
Scott Forster
Dale Beatty
Dick Albrecht was a senior Boeing Commercial Airplane Group executive during the early Next-Generation 737 era. Scott Forster and Dale Beatty have also been associated with Boeing/Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Numerous additional signatures are present across both sides of the football, but many have not been conclusively identified.
This appears to be Boeing employee / 737 Next-Generation program memorabilia rather than a professional football team-signed ball.
The football shows vintage wear, including fading and rubbing to some silver signatures, surface marks, discoloration and normal age-related wear. Includes the display stand shown in the photos.
