Matching pair of vintage miniature ashtrays/bowls attributed to Archimede Seguso, made in Italy circa 1950s-1960s. Each is hand formed in rich blue glass and known as A Bolle, controlled-bubble technique, creating precise rows of tiny suspended air bubbles throughout the glass.
The rounded form has thick walls and a single sculpted “handle/rest”. Both pieces retain their original red and gold scalloped “Made in Murano Italy” labels, a label associated with Archimede Seguso production. A Bolle is also documented on Seguso bowls and ashtrays from this period.
3 x 2.5 x 1.25 in. each
Very nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Both original labels remain attached (with some expected age-related wear).
A particularly nice matched pair for an Archimede Seguso or Murano glass collection. Their small size also makes them beautiful decorative catchalls or ring dishes.
