Interesting vintage pair of heavy metal horse/livestock hobbles or leg restraints connected by a short heavy chain.
Each side features a hinged metal cuff/ring with a locking-style mechanism. One side also has a small green tassel/brush attached by a small ball chain.
These have a great old Western ranch/equestrian appearance and would make an unusual addition to a collection of antique ranch equipment, cowboy memorabilia, Western Americana, horse tack or primitive farm tools.
I have not been able to determine the exact maker, age or origin, so they are being offered as found and as shown in the photographs.
The metal shows expected signs of age and previous use, including scratches, discoloration, oxidation/patina and general surface wear. I have not attempted to polish or restore them.
