Lot of 7 images, prints and clippings taken from early 1900s period publications attached to backing paper. Believe these are likely all European racehorses.
Sizes of images are approx. 3 x 2 1/4 inches, mounted on paper measuring approx.8 x 5 1/2 inches,
The horses are: Dog Rose, Fowling-Piece, Lomond, Hall Cross(?), Val D\'Or and 2 that are not identified, although one has something penciled on reverse. Two have penciled notes on the bottom border.
The itemscame with a number of horse racing items that belonged to Walter S. Vosburgh, an original member of The Jockey Club, turf historian (author of American Racing, 1866-1921 etc.), official handicapper for various racing associations, including New York racetracks from 1894-1934 and for whom the Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park is named.These images may have been connected to Vosburgh\'s work on the book Thoroughbred Types, 1900-1925,
