Vintage African Handwoven Figural Wall Hanging Raised Tufted Textile 16x40 For Sale

Vintage African handwoven textile/fiber art wall hanging featuring a stylized woman carrying a vessel or pot on her head. The figure extends through the length of the piece, with wave-like woven motifs and raised three-dimensional fiber details on the front. The reverse shows the same design in a flatter woven construction, while the front has pronounced raised pile/tufted elements that give the textile a sculptural appearance.Approx. 16\" wide × 40\" woven body, approximately 50\" total length including fringe. Fringe appears intact. Earth-tone palette includes cream, olive/gray, brown, black, rust and orange. Fiber content is unconfirmed.Family provenance indicates the piece was acquired in the Congo/Africa.
