Vintage Abraham Palatnik Lucite Owl Figurine. Unique Kinechromatic psychedelic checkerboard Op Art design. This owl is part of the Artemis collection, made in Brazil 1960-1970's. It's a series distinguished by its exploration of stylized animal forms rendered in simple, planar silhouettes. There is a careful orchestrated interplay of geometric motifs with articulation of the owl's face and plumage creating a visual depth within a restrained two-dimentional framework. The owl is 4.5" x 2.5" x 1". It shows some signs of cosmetic wear and slight imperfections. Please see pictures and ask for additional photos and information if needed.
