Beautiful vintage Matisse tapestry mules dating to the Y2K era. These distinctive backless slip-on shoes feature a richly patterned woven tapestry upper in warm earthy tones of tan, gold, rust, burgundy, olive and blue, with an intricate geometric/medallion-inspired design.
The shoes have a tapered square/pointed toe and a sculpted black block/wedge-style heel that gives them a dramatic early-2000s look.

These shoes have never been worn. They were purchased new in 2002 but were never worn because the original owner could not comfortably get her foot into the mule due to a high arch/high instep.
