Vintage genuine python skin/hide believed to be Reticulated Python (Malayopython reticulatus / formerly Python reticulatus) of Indonesian origin.
Especially interesting example retaining its original Indonesian government identification label on the reverse:
“DEPARTEMEN KEHUTANAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA — 2001-PR-008294”
The label dates the hide to 2001 and appears to be an Indonesian Forestry Department identification/export-inspection tag. No separate CITES paperwork is included, so the government label itself is shown and described exactly as found.
Approximately 63–64 inches long and approximately 12–13 inches wide at the widest section; please see measurement photographs for exact dimensions.
Belly-cut preparation leaves the highly decorative geometric dorsal python pattern intact through the center. White, gray and black finished coloration. Large usable continuous section suitable for leathercraft, display, collecting, restoration, Western/exotic leather work or other permitted uses.
Vintage condition with natural scale variation, irregular/raw-cut edges and age/storage wear. Please inspect all photographs carefully. Skin has not been altered or restored by seller.
