Unusual vintage handcrafted wooden presentation box featuring an inset Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) seal dated 1998.
The box is beautifully constructed from contrasting woods with a dark finished exterior, lighter rounded side pieces, and an especially attractive fixed decorative wood panel inside featuring dramatic natural grain.
The curved lid opens upward to reveal the finished wood interior. The decorative interior panel is fixed in place and is not removable.

• 2” high when closed
The exact original purpose or distribution of this box is unknown. It appears to be a BSP presentation, souvenir, corporate, or institutional piece from 1998. It is not being represented as the original case for any particular coin or banknote.
The year 1998 also coincided with the Centennial of Philippine Independence (1898–1998), making this an interesting period piece for collectors of Philippine history, banking and numismatic memorabilia.
Condition
Pre-owned vintage condition.
Shows scratches, scuffs, small marks and finish wear consistent with age and previous use. Wear is most noticeable on the dark finished surfaces. There are also small marks along the edges and underside.
The box remains attractive and displays nicely. The BSP medallion is intact.
No restoration or refinishing has been performed.
